ITALIAN Version Gli
STORM OF DAMNATION nascono dall’enorme amore di Andrea per
il GRUNGE e dalla sua grande voglia di costruire un gran gruppo che
produca questo sound. Dopo innumerevoli difficoltà nel trovare
persone “vere” e capaci di comporre, nell’inverno 2003
riescono a preparare il loro primo Demo autoprodotto e nel febbraio
2004 a registrare il loro lavoro “YOU SHOULD BE HERE!”.
In queste sessioni di registrazioni preparano anche “Vegetable
Man” per la famosa compilation “VEGETABLE MAN” della
OGGETTI VOLANTI NON IDENTIFICATI RECORDS. Si tratta di una
compilation mondiale. Gli Storm sono presenti nella terza che è
uscita a settembre ‘04, composta da artisti di tutto il mondo:
USA, Germania, Olanda, Svezia, Turchia, Canada & Italia. Di lì
a poco gli STORM OF DAMNATION registrano anche “VERSE
CHORUS VERSE” per la compilation “IN MEMORY OF KURT..
YOU'LL BE ALWAYS IN OUR HEARTS”, creata in memoria di Kurt
Cobain a 10 anni dalla sua morte. “YOU SHOULD BE HERE!” ha un
buon riscontro dalla critica.. vengono estratte due songs per
partecipare a compilations interessanti: “HITS OF THE FREAKS”
& “GOD SAVE THE CLOWN”. La prima è la compilation
della migliore Fanza d’Italia, ovvero BEAUTIFUL FREAKS di Ale:
presenti con “YOU SHOULD
BE HERE!” con grandi gruppi come 4EVER21, 4 BELLE BAMBINE,
FREE SPIRITS, ALI DI VETRO; la seconda è la compilation realizzata
da StayPunk e vede presenti gli STORM con “THE
RAGE TOWARDS YOU” insieme a gruppi come KALASHNIKOV, FREE
SPIRITS, INERDZIA, DOUBLE SWINDLE. Nel marzo 2004 gli STORM OF
DAMNATION fanno un miniTour a Milano-Modena-Modena assieme agli
amici Alcoolica (grazie alla KDV RECORDS), ma soprattutto ai
FUXIMILE (un’esperienza di sicuro indimenticabile). Vengono scelti
anche per la compilation “INSURRECTION” della NERV
RECORDS di Iacopo e Alvise: sono presenti con “I
HOPE..” assieme a gruppi come SPACCIATORI DI MUSICA
STUPEFACENTE, FREE SPIRITS,NO CHOICE e partecipano al REGGAEROCKFESTIVAL,
festival romano. Intanto “I HOPE..” viene scelta per essere
inserita anche nell’ARNICA COMP2 della KDV RECORDS dei
fratelli Sartori: compilation formata dai gruppi che hanno suonato
all’Arnica (locale del nord milanese), dove ritroviamo anche
KALASHNIKOV, ALCOOLICA, INKOMA, ecc. ecc. Con quest’ultima
compilation stabiliscono un piccolo record (molto piacevole!),
ovvero essere stati inseriti in 6 compilation in 3 settimane. A
metà maggio ’04 registrano il nuovo demo “END OF THE..
WORLD!”. Intanto “I HOPE..” si classifica al primato della
classifica GRUNGE di VITAMINIC (su più di 350 gruppi).
Mentre si continua a provare creando nuove songs, gli STORM OF
DAMNATION vengono scelti per la settima compilation, ovvero “REVOLUTION”
della Webzine PASSIONE ALTERNATIVA e li vede presenti con “AWAY..
AND ANGRY!”. Il 1° luglio ’04 suonano al PANE&ROCK
FESTIVAL di Viterbo per sostituire gli storici PROZAC+: gran
Festival Internazionale con una strumentazione
perfetta, chiudendo la serata da Headliner e dividendo il palco con
gruppi provenienti da tutte le parti dell’emisfero.. di sicuro una
gran bella esperienza.. c’è anche la compilation del Festival,
dove potete trovare “I HOPE..” e
“AWAY.. AND ANGRY!”. Due giorni dopo vanno a suonare al ROCK
ON THE ROCK e ne approfittano per registrare l'intera
performance, che servirà per il progetto della raccolta Live.. A
settembre “AWAY..AND ANGRY!” è nella track-list della
compilation “DISSENSO E DEGRADO 3” (Webzine Anarchica):
sono presenti con i FREE SPIRITS, gli ACID BRAINS e altri gruppi
della scena Punk italiana.. A fine settembre gli STORM OF DAMNATION
si tolgono la grandissima soddisfazione di arrivare al primo e al
secondo posto (con “I HOPE..” e “AWAY..AND ANGRY!”) della
classifica “Alternative Punk” su ben 9249 gruppi..
Intanto il gruppo è impegnato in numerosi mini tour lungo tutto il
territorio nazionale, impegni che aiutano a condensare la loro
esperienza live. A gennaio 2005 gli STORM entrano in studio per
registrare il loro terzo demo intitolato “SLIPPIN’ FARTHER AN
FARTHER AWAY”. Mentre la stampa è in fase di progettazione,
molte copie vengono richieste da fans e addetti ai lavori, fino a
quando un produttore li contatta per produrre “CARELESSNESS OF
THIS STUPID WORLD…”, primo cd ufficiale degli STORM OF
DAMNATION. Il cd, uscito in 4000 copie a ottobre 2005 (pubblicato
dalla Seattle Warriors Records), contiene 8 tracce registrate a
luglio nel “WAVES STUDIO” con l’aggiunta delle 11 tracce di
“SLIPPIN’ FARTHER AN FARTHER AWAY”. “YOU’RE ONLY AN INFAMOUS” è stata registrata appositamente
per “AKOMPILATION vol.2”, grande compilation mondiale
(prodotta dall’AKOM PRODUCTION di Rovigo) che riunisce le diverse
espressioni underground rock di tutto il mondo, con songs che vanno
dall’aggressivo al melodico, dall’alternative al brutal…
dall’Inghilterra RUNT(geniali) e UNIT, dall’Olanda i DOMINION,
dal Giappone SLITER e SERPENT, dalla Francia i KARMASSACRE… senza
dimenticare gli italiani THE SPECIAL GUESTS, LOCKDOWN, TILT, AGABUS.
Con il cambio di line-up, i nuovi innesti Alfonso e Vincenzo fanno
assumere agli STORM un new sound rendendo il loro stile ALTERNATIVE
ROCK. Così nel 2005 i ragazzacci vengono chiamati a mostrare il
loro sound Live in numerosi Festival Nazionali,ovvero ALATRI DAL
VIVO, GIULIANO ROCK FESTIVAL, lo stupendo SAN GIORGIO
MUSIC FESTIVAL(uno dei migliori Festival a livello nazionale);
il 21 giugno il loro sound diventa ‘semi-elettrico’ per
l’occasione poiché partecipano a “LA FESTA DELLA MUSICA di
CERVIA”: Festival EUROPEO coi londinesi CLOGHOPPERS, i cechi
KOLICEK e DIXIELAND ZUS KRNOV, i toscani TAMALES DE CHIPIL, i
bolognesi PIGNA e CENERE e tanti altri…35 gruppi che hanno creato
una grandissima Festa Europea suonando contemporaneamente in 35
posti diversi di CERVIA; partecipano al SAN VITTORE MUSIC
FESTIVAL, all’
A13 SUD FESTIVAL (Festival
Nazionale con impatto sonoro di 30 mila watts e con gruppi del
calibro di 24 GRANA,NAMELESS CRIME,YUGO IN INCOGNITO), al 50ANNI
& DINTORNI, Festival Nazionale di Montecatini Terme,
manifestazione ripresa in tv da TOSCANA CHANNEL (canale Satellitare
SKY). Il live 2006 si apre il 21 giugno quando gli STORM ripetono
l’esperienza del Festival Europeo di Cervia, manifestazione
musicale che sostiene da due anni la FESTA DELLA MUSICA; questa volta hanno la fortuna di suonare al ROCK
PLANET (tra i locali più importanti in Italia), palco
prestigioso calcato da gruppi internazionali del calibro dei MISFITS,
RAMONES, LAGWAGON, MAD CADDIES, RISE AGAINST... A ottobre 2006 una
grande opportunità vede gli STORM OF DAMNATION protagonisti in “UNMUTE
3”, una compilation internazionale che fa il giro del mondo:
la California, Los Angeles, Londra, Liverpool e le altre metropoli
musicali ascolteranno il suono di “LOST IN MYSELF IN THE DARK”.
Gli Storm, insieme ad altre quattro bands, vengono inclusi nello
split curato dalla PACHOIMA RECORDS, distribuito in Europa
(principalmente Inghilterra&Germania), USA e Giappone: lo split
(una dedica all’indimenticabile KURT COBAIN) s'intitola “IT’S BETTER TO BURN OUT THAN TO FADE AWAY”. Febbraio 2007 è
la data in cui “NOT RAIN ALL TIME” viene inserita nell’ “AKOMPILATION vol.3”. Sempre “NOT RAIN ALL TIME” è la song
scelta da “THE EXPLOSION OF
PUNK vol.II”, compilation con artisti come CATTIVE ABITUDINI,
DDR, SOTTOMARCA, LATTE+, edita dalla PECCI RECORDS. Marzo 2007 è la
data d’uscita del 2° cd ufficiale degli STORM OF DAMNATION dal
titolo “TEARS CATCH
FIRE...”: nuovo lavoro venuto fuori da una profonda
riflessione sull’entità del gruppo e del sound, coinvolgente e
appassionante grazie all’introduzione più matura di violini e
piano...18 brani tutti da ascoltare...!!! Tra i lives 2007
importante citare la partecipazione per il terzo anno consecutivo al
CERVIA EUROPEAN MUSIC FESTIVAL e le coinvolgenti tappe in
giro per l’Italia. Nell’agosto 2007 gli STORM OF DAMNATION
iniziano una meravigliosa collaborazione con una delle più
importanti agenzie europee di Management... l’ALKEMIST FANATIX EUROPE! A fine 2007 “NOT RAIN ALL TIME...TEARS
CATCH FIRE” è l’inedita song (un mix tra “Not Rain All
Time” & “My Tears Catch Fire Giving Off Paranoic Rage part
II”) scelta in “A.O.G. MEDIA vol.8”, compilation mondiale con artisti come
JESSE DE LA O, OUTLIVE, JOSE’ DIAZ, edita dall’etichetta del
Texas A.O.G. MEDIA. Il 2008 si apre con l’inserimento di “MY
TEARS CATCH FIRE GIVING OFF PARANOIC RAGE part II” nella “AKOMPILATION
vol.4”. Diverse
radio hanno passato la musica degli STORM OF DAMNATION, tra cui
RADIO CITTA’ APERTA, RADIO LUPO SOLITARIO, RADIO RIOT, LOVE BUZZ,
RADIO 2000 OUT, RADIO R.O.T.E., LupOnAir, GOD SAVE THE RADIO, RADIO
ENNA, RADIO LOST, AUTHENROCK RADIO, RADIO FLASH, RADIO NOVA..
quest’ultima ha dedicato due intere puntate di due ore agli STORM
che presto sbarcheranno in Sardegna per fare una lunga intervista in
diretta radiofonica + 1 Live per RADIO CRASH.

ENGLISH Version STORM OF DAMNATION was born thanks to the huge love that Andrea feels for the GRUNGE and to his great desire to redevelop a big band making this sound. After several difficulties in searching “true” people able in feel and compose this music, in the Winter 2003 they succeeding in prepare their first demo self-produced and on February 2004 recorded their work “YOU SHOULD BE HERE!”. In those sessions they record “Vegetable Man” too for the famous compilation “VEGETABLE MAN” by OGGETTI VOLANTI NON IDENTIFICATI RECORDS, a Worldwide Compilation. STORM are present in the third one coming out on September 2004 where we find international artists from USA, Germany, Holland, Sweden, Turkey, Canada & Italy. Right after the STORM record “VERSE CHORUS VERSE” for the compilation “IN MEMORY OF KURT.. YOU'LL BE ALWAYS IN OUR HEARTS”, created in memory of Kurt Cobain celebrating 10 years passed after his death. “YOU SHOULD BE HERE!” has a good confirmation by critics.. two songs are extracted in order to participate to interesting compilations: “HITS OF THE FREAKS” & “GOD SAVE THE CLOWN”. The first compilation comes from the best Italian fanzine, that is BEAUTIFUL FREAKS cared by Ale: present with “YOU SHOULD BE HERE!” together great bands like 4EVER21, 4 BELLE BAMBINE, FREE SPIRITS, ALI DI VETRO; the second one is a compilation maiden by StayPunk where the STORM are present with “THE RAGE TOWARDS YOU” together bands like KALASHNIKOV, FREE SPIRITS, INERDZIA, DOUBLE SWINDLE. On March 2004 STORM realize a miniTour <Milan-Modena-Modena> together their friends Alcoolica (thanks to KDV RECORDS), but above all with FUXIMILE (surely an unforgettable experience). They are also chosen for the compilation “INSURRECTION” by NERV RECORDS with “I HOPE..” together bands like SPACCIATORI DI MUSICA STUPEFACENTE, FREE SPIRITS, NO CHOICE and participate to REGGAEROCKFESTIVAL, a Roman festival. Meanwhile “I HOPE..” is chosen for ARNICA COMP2 by Sartori brothers KDV RECORDS: in the compilation are present bands played at the Arnica (a live pub sited in the north part of Milan), where we find also KALASHNIKOV, ALCOOLICA, INKOMA, etc. etc. With this last one compilation the STORM join a little record (very pleasing!): be included in 6 compilations in less than 3 weeks. At the middle of May 2004 they record the new demo “END OF THE.. WORLD!”. In the meantime “I HOPE..” ranks a record in the GRUNGE hit parade hold by VITAMINIC (beating more than 350 bands). While they rehearse creating new songs, STORM are chosen for their seventh compilation that is “REVOLUTION” coming from Webzine PASSIONE ALTERNATIVA with “AWAY.. AND ANGRY!”. The 1st July ’04 they play at the PANE&ROCK FESTIVAL in Viterbo in order to substitute the historical PROZAC+: a big Worldwide Festival with perfect instruments, closing the evening performance as Headliner and above all sharing the stage with bands coming from all parts of the hemisphere.. surely a very important experience ..there’s also the Festival Compilation, where it’s possible find “I HOPE..” and “AWAY.. AND ANGRY!”. Two days later they play at the ROCK ON THE ROCK and profit to record the whole performance that will be needed for the project Live collection.. On September “AWAY..AND ANGRY!” is in the track-list of the compilation “DISSENSO E DEGRADO 3” (Anarchic Webzine): they’re present with FREE SPIRITS, ACID BRAINS and other bands of Italian Punk scene.. At the end of September the STORM have a huge satisfaction coming run (with the songs “I HOPE..” and “AWAY..AND ANGRY!”) at the first and the second place of “Alternative Punk” charts over 9249 bands.. At the same time the band is engaged in several mini tours along all national territory, engagements that help to condense their live experience. On January 2005 the STORM come in studio to record their third demo titled “SLIPPIN’ FARTHER AN FARTHER AWAY”. While the print is in the designing phase, several copies are required by fans and attached people, since then a producer contact them to produce “CARELESSNESS OF THIS STUPID WORLD...”, first official cd by the STORM OF DAMNATION. Coming out with 4000 copies on October 2005 (published by the Seattle Warriors Records), the album contains 8 tracks recorded on July at “WAVES STUDIO” with the addiction of 11 tracks of “SLIPPIN’ FARTHER AN FARTHER AWAY”. “YOU’RE ONLY AN INFAMOUS” is been recorded purposely for the “AKOMPILATION vol.2”, great worldwide compilation (produced by AKOM PRODUCTION) that joins different underground rock expressions from all the world, with songs coming from the aggressive towards the melodic, from the alternative towards the brutal... from England RUNT (ingenious) and UNIT, from Holland DOMINION, from Japan SLITER and SERPENT, from France KARMASSACRE...without forgetting the Italian THE SPECIAL GUESTS, LOCKDOWN, TILT, AGABUS. With the line-up changed, the new insertions Alfo and Vince give to the STORM a new sound restoring an ALTERNATIVE ROCK style. In this way in 2005 the bad guys are called to show their live sound in several National Festivals, like ALATRI DAL VIVO, GIULIANO ROCK FESTIVAL, the great SAN GIORGIO MUSIC FESTIVAL (one of the best Festival at a National measure); the 21st June their sound becomes ‘semi-electric’ for the occasion since they participate to “THE MUSIC DAY BY CERVIA”, an European Festival with the London CLOGHOPPERS, the Czech KOLICEK and DIXIELAND ZUS KRNOV, the Tuscan TAMALES DE CHIPIL, the PIGNA and the CENERE of Bologna and many others...35 groups having created a huge European Music Day playing simultaneously in 35 different places in CERVIA; they also participate to SAN VITTORE MUSIC FESTIVAL, A13 SUD FESTIVAL (National Festival with a sonorous impact with 30 thousands of watts and with bands of big shot as 24 GRANA, NAMELESS CRIME, YUGO IN INCOGNITO); to 50ANNI & DINTORNI, National Festival in Montecatini Terme, musical parade shot on tv by TOSCANA CHANNEL (a satellite SKY channel). The 2006 live season starts the 21st June when the STORM repeat the European Festival of Cervia experience, musical parade that holds since two years “THE MUSIC DAY BY CERVIA”; this time they have the luck to play at the ROCK PLANET (one of the most important live place in Italy), prestigious stage trampled by international bands of big shot as MISFITS, RAMONES, LAGWAGON, MAD CADDIES, RISE AGAINST...On October 2006 a great chance sees the STORM OF DAMNATION protagonist in “UNMUTE 3”, an international compilation that travels all around the world: the American California, Los Angeles, London, Liverpool and the other musical metropolis will listen to the sound of “LOST IN MYSELF IN THE DARK”. The STORM, together with other four bands, are included in the split cared by the PACHOIMA RECORDS, distributed in Europe (mainly in England & Germany), USA and Japan: the split (a dedication to the unforgettable KURT COBAIN) is titled “IT’S BETTER TO BURN OUT THAN TO FADE AWAY”. February 2007 is the date in which “NOT RAIN ALL TIME” is enclosed in the “AKOMPILATION vol.3”. Always “NOT RAIN ALL TIME” is the song chosen by “THE EXPLOSION OF PUNK vol. II”, compilation with artists as CATTIVE ABITUDINI published by PECCI RECORDS. March 2007 is the coming out date of the 2nd official cd by STORM OF DAMNATION titled “TEARS CATCH FIRE...”: a new work realized after a deep reflection on the band entity and of the sound, involving and fascinating thanks to the riper introduction of violins and pianos..18 tracks all by listening...!!! Amongst lives on 2007 important is their presence for three years running to CERVIA EUROPEAN MUSIC FESTIVAL and involving steps all around Italy. On August 2007 the STORM OF DAMNATION start a wonderful collaboration with one of the most important European Management Agency...the ALKEMIST FANATIX EUROPE! At the end of 2007 “NOT RAIN ALL TIME...TEARS CATCH FIRE” is the unpublished song (a mix between “Not Rain All Time” & “My Tears Catch Fire Giving Off Paranoic Rage part II”) chosen for “A.O.G. MEDIA vol.8”, worldwide compilation with artists as JESSE DE LA O, OUTLIVE, JOSE’ DIAZ, edited by Texan label A.O.G. MEDIA. The 2008 year opens itself with the insertion of “MY TEARS CATCH FIRE GIVING OFF PARANOIC RAGE part II” in the “AKOMPILATION vol.4”. Several radios have passed on the music by the STORM OF DAMNATION, among which RADIO CITTA’ APERTA, RADIO LUPO SOLITARIO, RADIO RIOT, LOVE BUZZ, RADIO 2000 OUT, RADIO R.O.T.E., LupOnAir, GOD SAVE THE RADIO, RADIO ENNA, RADIO LOST, RADIO FLASH, RADIO NOVA.. this last one have dedicated two hours in two whole episode to the STORM that the soonest will put ashore in Sardegna for a long interview in radiophonic live broadcast + 1 Live for RADIO CRASH.
